It’s a shame
It’s a shame we get speakers like Delatorro McNeal to come here…
and then confine them to small, out of the way classrooms!
(I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, but just kept putting it off. But I have since realized that making fun of Babson is an integral part of my life, so here goes…)
I think it was March 6 or 7 when Del McNeal joined us in Reynolds 241 for an evening of fun and motivation. And when I say us, I mean some members of BSU (who organized the event) and a few other kids. I think Del deserved to be on stage in Olin Auditorium. At least half the guys that show up there are even more boring than an accounting class…
To learn more about Del (who is great) check out his website, because from now on I’ll have to concentrate on what sucks about Babson to make sure this is worthy of posting on crapcampus.com.
So here are a few things that are disappointing:
- that very few students show up to see any speakers that are just in the classrooms (which could be because they are lazy, because they are too busy with meaningless homework assignments or big projects, or because Babson sends out so much frickin email that no one even reads anything sent to “Ugrads” anymore.)
- the large amount of homework I just mentioned
- the large amount of useless email I just mentioned
- the boring speakers in Olin hall
- the speakers we are forced to go to for A&H class
- the lack of entrepreneurial and motivational speakers
If Del did one thing, it was get you motivated. A perfect presentation for any of the entrepreneurs here. Del worked his way through life doing whatever he put his mind to, and coached us to do the same. But alas, only a few of us got to be there.
Oh well, what are ya gonna do?
[What you should do is go check out the Invenio Group sponsored guest speaker in the chapel on April 3.]

The one thing that I hate about Babson College, are those girls, and guys who walk around like they are top notch dogs, when in all actuality they arn’t. These are the unfriendly people who stare you down. You see, I’m a real outgoing and friendly person, but the ironic thing is, that only about 40% of people on campus are friendly. Most people are just ASSHOLES.
Point is, if you want to go to a school and not feel real welcomed, plus have no social life b/c parties here, then go to Babson, if not do some more research, because a ” SOCIAL LIFE ISN”T POSSIBLE @ BABSON”
PS I am involved in lots of avtivites on campus, and being involved does not make people happier, or friendly.
