Babson’s Social life SUXS

The one thing that I hate about Babson College, are those girls, and guys who walk around like they are top notch dogs, when in all actuality they arnt. These are the unfriendly people who stare you down. You see, Im a real outgoing and friendly person, but the ironic thing is, that only about 40% of people on campus are friendly. Most people are just ASSHOLES.

Point is, if you want to go to a school and not feel real welcomed, plus have no social life b/c parties here, then go to Babson, if not do some more research, because a SOCIAL LIFE ISNT POSSIBLE @ BABSON

PS I am involved in lots of avtivites on campus, and being involved does not make people happier, or friendly.

Update: New blog author!

Trying to keep with the Babson tradition of celebrating diversity, we now have a female contributor!

(which gives us about a 70/30 male/female ratio here, also on par with babson!)

myspace chick

“Perhaps you should spend your time studying. From what I have experienced as a graduate student, babson is a great school. Good idea for a business tho… I’ll give you that.” ~myspace chick

i dont have a myspace account, but can someone grill this girl? DEEP BREATH* k first off this chicks a grad student, and makes a comment on the school itself. clearly this is run by undergraduate students based on the giganticly popular topic of social life and OCL. the entire premise of this idea is that this is kids who feel strongly enough about the wrongs that occur on this campus that they are willing to invest not only their time, but sometimes their money as well, to at the very least shed light on certain wrongings that this campus commits. given the fact that this site is about the UNDERGRAD experience on this campus, this chick feels like she can comment on that experience, having never partaken in it.

Have you been to Crap Campus in real life?

You might have missed it since the entrance gets rebuilt all the time. So, here’s a pic of what it looks like now so you don’t miss it.

And the survey says…

I recently conducted a preliminary online survey of several babson students. A few were friends of mine, but many were random. Leave a comment if you want the excel document used to calculate these results emailed to you. Here is the executive summary of some of the findings:

-          79% of students party off campus 3 times a month or less

-          69% of students think that there are few or no on-campus social event options

-          74% of students disagree with the Central Source policy

-          76% of students disagree with the No Drinking Games policy

-          68% of students agree with the statement:
“I drink at Babson because there’s nothing else to do”

-          89% of students agree with the statement:
“I drink at Babson because it makes events seem more fun”

-          83% of students would never go to a Knight Party sober

-          In a list of 26 words that would describe a social life (11 positive, 10 negative, and 5 neither), a negative word was chosen 72% of the time, and a positive one only 5% of the time. The most popular word chosen was “repetitive”.

We have saved at least one person so far!

One big goal of this site is to show prospective students what it is actually like at Babson. Babson has some good marketing materials, and it’s hard to get the real story without actually being here. Which is why we expose the stuff that is hard to find – so kids can make informed decisions.

Here’s an email we received recently:

Hey,

I was recently admmited to Babson and I was thinking of going, I read your site about how they sold all the entrepreneurship thing.. Is it all a lie?

I was also admmited to other better schols like Wharton, Goizuetta (emory) etc etc

Should I go to these instead of Wharton?

I heard of a person who studies there that the workload is out of this world… Is this true?

Thanks
