OCL
Issue 1:
I’m a legit junior at the time of housing selection for next year. I was put in the Sophmore lottery. WHAT THE FUCK! I can’t share a room with my lifestyle of loud music, late nights, and smoking. I got stuck in the last available single on campus. This means that some fucking sophmore who caught the luck of the draw has legit gotten a better room than I have. And that just ain’t fair. I’ll be kicking off the second half of my junior year and the beginning of my senior year in the same dorm I lived in the previous year. Not too mention that this summer I’m also living in the same room I’ve lived in for the past two semesters. A little upgrade or change of living conditions would have been nice. Especially since I went down to Trish’s office to ask about maybe getting this taken care of. But as we all know, OCL is useless in assisting students. Trish was too busy assigning rooms to summer residents to talk to a summer resident. So useless, that it brings me to my next point.

Issue 2:
Numerous complaints and work orders have been requested to fix the kitchen in the lounge here in putney over the previous two semesters. When I went and tried to speak with Trish, it still wasn’t fixed and the microwave hadn’t been cleaned in months. These complaints never made it to campus life. So I made sure to request that there be kitchens available for use. They said they’d try and thankfully we do have the study lounges open for use as kitchens but the main lounge is still not working and the fridges and microwaves we do have at our use our still not being cleaned. I watch facilities wash down the sinks and counters and completely neglect the microwaves and fridges. Thanks ass holes, you’re really providing a healthy campus life. There are so many other dorms that are in much less need of restoration in comparison to Putney, but for some reason, they deemed this suitable for summer residents. We don’t even have a fucking oven and you know what, I do wish I could bake some fuckin cookies or brownies. Yeah. I bake. Whats up.

Issue 3:
After a stressful set of finals, me and my buddies went up to maine for a few days. I brought my computer and checked my email for any OCL notifications that may be coming in about moving or for summer residents that are already living in Putney. I was told verbally by an OCL employee that I would probably just be keeping my room for the summer but I would receive and email notification. So I return from Maine at about 10pm. Get back to my room and theres something hanging on my door.
They changed my fucking lock.
Without telling me.
The note says to pick up my key at OCL but its 10 pm.

My reaction: How fucking dumb are these people? I have a banner on my door that says resident with extension, and OCL has known for a long time that I’ll be here all summer. But they completely neglected to tell me that my lock was being changed and that I wouldn’t have any way of locking my room until they reopened. I called babo and of course they came and let me in, but now I have to pay for a lock out. Excuse me, but I think you can pay me for the lock out since you’re the one who CHANGED MY FUCKING LOCK WITHOUT TELLING ME!!!!!

Ok, now I’m done ranting. Now I’m calling to arms. Can we please start getting others and our parents together to get OCL revamped? Trish Godino, Chris Kandus, all them fuckers need to go. I’ll take on more about this past semester later but right now, I’m gonna go steal some shit from babson to make myself feel better and influence them the only way they let me.

Oh and if you’re a grad student reading this, spare me your senseless and baseless comments. You’re fucking retarded for thinking you can relate to U-grad issues.
