I think we should protest - let us all start at the base of map hill, that gargantuan tribute to misled ideals, and not stop until we have marched right through the doors of the OCL, the office of the deans, and even the presidents office. Why not? Lets make banners! Wear shirts! let us march for what we believe! Let us write a list of formal complaints or issues that we want resolved - and lets come up with reasonable solutions so that they cannot say we are merely complaining. Let us band together, creatively approaching this schools issues, and watch them try to stop us then. I have not posted until now - but i will doing so quite regularly now. Lets do this!

all good points. however, everyone has their own specific reason as to why they didnt transfer....but heres an interesting fact: babson doesnt post their average GPA, do you know why? because its is a 2.7..about a c+ average. now whats the minimum average out of state transfer gpa? its a 2.8. that means that over half, statistically, of the students at babson couldnt even transfer if they wanted to. personally, i tried to transfer, but my gpa was too low because babson was enforcing what they refer to as "grade deflation", meaning that they are purposefully demanding that the teachers have about a c+ average in their classes. um... what? why? theres far more negatives than positives in this equation. Congrats on going to bentley, its a better all-around school and is quickly climbing in the ranks. they recently purchased land to develope, enough to double the size of the campus. if babson doesnt watch its ass, its reputation will be overthrown by our rival...and, it isnt watching its ass. its only a matter of time.... formal complaints are always written, nothing is done. and the final one... protesting. hm. i think thats in order, dont know how we could protest without babo getting into riot gear, but ill look into it. thanks for the comment striker.

Hey, I've just graduated high school and plan on attending Bentley (honors prog) '10 even though I got into Babson too. This site only reinforced my views of the school when i was trying to make my decision, especially since the friends I have who attend the college gave me a very similarly bleak picture of the social and campus life. I support you guys trying to make a positive change and start a movement of awareness on your campus to bring students together, but what I don't understand is why you guys don't try to transfer to another college. I know the academics are good, but is there some barrier to your exit from the college? I am sincerely curious, because as a prospective student there I was baffled as to why so many of the students there were willing to take the negative experience they were having without taking any real action (by transferring, writing formal complaints, protesting).
Again, I applaud the action being taken on this site but I would think it to be better served if actual solutions or actionable suggestions were discussed on this site instead. I know I'm be going to a rival school, but when we graduate, we will be placed in the same workforce and will have to work together, so I feel I have a vested interest in the goings on of the school across town from me.
Best of luck.

"nothing in this world would ever be better, if people didnt speak out for what they BELIEVED WAS RIGHT, thus enciting ideas, and taking action."

Exactly.
