To come to the defense of myself and my friends at facilities, let me explain first. This snow started after first recieiving rain. Temperatures dropped and the rain began freezing, then it turned to snow. So now you have freezing temperatures, rain on the bottom, wet snow, and then snow. As that rain cools its obviously tunrning to ice! thats just the first layer. Remember that it rained for a while after it stopped snowing. That rain melted more snow, and sent it to the bottom onto the ice, then it froze, and made more ice. Basically, walk across the upperfields, its almost a solid 3 inches of ice. Know how hard its been to clean off your car? It wasn't much easier for us. There are a lot of sideawalks and streetsin this campus and sometimes, the snow/rain turns to ice faster than you can get to it. We try to get salt down right away, but when theres this much ice. the salt doesn't work properly. Simply put, theres more ice than the salt can handle. It will take severeal days to get enough salt down to melt everything. They're trying their best and believe me it is one of their concerns, but the weather is a little more difficult to manage than you think.

Honestly people, give us a break. These guys at facilities bust ass and stay up all night to the best damn job they can. Pray for some temps above freezing and thats the best that we can do.

Sincerely,
Bryan "Reverend Esby" Steward

What’s the deal with the absolutely AWFUL job facilities did with the cleanup? Practically every walkway is a 2” sheet of ice. Personally, I slipped on my way down class and witness about 10 other people fall throughout the day. How difficult can it possibly be throw some salt on the walkways? Terrible job facilities.
